3-1 The Wonder of Animals/ A Day in the Sahara Desert

사하라 사막은 일 년에 단 250mm의 비만 내리는 곳이다. 낮에는 기온이 매우 높지만, 밤에는 또한 영하로 떨어질 수 있다. 그러나 그곳은 다양한 동물들이 그들 자신만의 방식으로 생존하는 흥분과 경이로움으로 가득한 놀라운 곳이다. 사하라 사막에서 하루를 보내 보자. [오전 7시] 태양이 떠오르기 시작한다. 그것은 건조한 땅에 열기와 에너지를 가져다준다. 동물들은 긴 밤잠에서 깨어나서 움직이기 시작한다. 딱정벌레는 햇빛을 즐기고 자신의 등에서 떨어진 이슬을 마시기 위해 머리를 낮춘다. 사막에서의 쌀쌀한 밤은 도마뱀의 몸을 차갑게 만들었다. 도마뱀은 활동할 수 있기 전에 바위 위에서 자신을 데운다. 사막의 새인 사막꿩은 자신의 깃털 안에 물을 모아 그것을 다시 새끼들에게 가져다준다. [오후 2시] 태양이 모래를 뜨겁게 달구고 마지막 물 한 방울까지 없애고 있을 때, 사막의 동물들은 그늘을 찾는다. 사막여우는 모래를 가로질러 걷고 휴식을 취하기 위해 나무 아래에 숨는다. 그것의 털은 사막의 열기를 반사할 수 있다. 그것의 발도 그것이 뜨거운 모래 위를 걸을 수 있도록 털로 덮여 있다.

The Sahara Desert is a place where only 250 mm of rain falls in a year. The temperature is terribly high in the daytime, but it can also fall below 0°C at night. However, it's an amazing place, full of excitement and wonder, where a variety of animals survive in their own way. Let's spend a day in the Sahara Desert. [07:00 AM] The sun begins to rise. It brings heat and energy to the dry land. The animals get up from a long night of sleep and begin to move. The beetle enjoys the sun and lowers its head to drink the dew which has fallen off its back. A cool night in the desert has made the lizard's body cold. The lizard warms itself up on a rock before it can be active. The sandgrouse, a desert bird, gathers water in its feathers and takes it back to its babies. [02:00 PM] When the sun is burning the sand and taking the last drop of water away, desert animals look for shade. The fennec fox walks across the sand and hides under a tree to take a break. Its fur can reflect the desert heat. Its feet are also covered with fur so that it can walk on the hot sand.
