make it through~을 잘 수행하다, 극복하다, 통과하다

I failed to make it through customs.

===============================

The other day as two men talked
I heard one say, "This road is rough.
And I don't know if I'll make it through."

Then the other turned and said
"Stay your course for just ahead
The place you seek is sure to come to you."

Over the hill is home
Just down the road is shelter
When you don't feel like trying, keep climbing
'Cause Over the hill is home

So if you ever find yourself
Out of strength in need of help
Know that hope is just a prayer away

The strength of God is always there
A faithful guide to lead you there
His mission is to show us the way

On the other side of night
Comes a day that shines so bright...

You may feel a little weary
But Jesus helps you
As you ride on His wings, yeah

Through the valleys He will guide
Keep His children by His side

Though the mountains seem so high
Oh you can make it if you try

Over the hill is home

Let freedom ring

Deep within the heart has always known that there was freedom

Somehow breathed into the very soul alive

The prisoner, the powerless, the slave have always known it

There‘s something that keeps reaching for the sky

Even life begins because a baby fights for freedom

And songs we love to sing have freedom‘s theme

Some have walked through fire and flood to find a place of freedom

And some faced hell itself for freedom‘s dream

Let freedom ring wherever minds know what it means to be in chains

Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain

Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key

We can be free and we can sing --- let freedom ring

God built freedom into every fiber of creation

And He meant for us to all be free and whole

When my Lord bought freedom with the blood of His redemption

His cross stamped pardon on my very soul

I‘ll sing it out with every breath, I’ll let the whole world hear it

This hallelujah anthem of the free

That iron bars and heavy chains can never hold us captive

The Son has made us free and free indeed

Let freedom ring down through the ages from a hill called Calvary

Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain

Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key

You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring

Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key

You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring

You can be free and you can sing --- let freedom ring --- let freedom ring

1. N / V
2. N / V / N, a
3. N / V / N
4. N /V / N / N
5. N / V / N / N, a

*N=명사, V=동사, a=형용사

N(+분투접전) / V / N(+분투접전)

I belive that he has a solution.

I (N)
2. V

I believe(V)

V(동사로 문장이 끝나거나, V+전치사 라면) = 1형식

V('~을'이란 말이 어울리면...)=3,4,5형식

3. 명사절(접+S+V..)

I believe that

I believe that S+V

I believe that he

I believe that he has

I believe that he has a solution.

1. I want to hold your hand.

2. I can't stop talking about her.

3. We know that we live in the age of the internet.

Even though we are now living in the digital age, the basic and most important element of educationthe human connectionhas not changed. The most wired students still need that one-on-one, teacher-student relationship to learn and to succeed. Teenagers need instruction in English, math, or history, but they also want personal advice and encouragement. In my English and journalism classes, we talk about Shakespeare and persuasive essays, but we also discuss college basketball, the war in Iraq, and career choices. This personal connection is the vital link between teacher and student that no amount of technology can replace.

In the next decade, tens of thousands of criminals who were locked up as a result of tough anti-crime policies will be released from prisons. We have some programs created to help former prisoners adjust to new life outside prison. However, their release in such large numbers will make it hard to run those programs. They are already running short of funds, so they can’t provide adequate social services for ex-prisoners. We should support the programs financially so that they can help ex-prisoners settle in society. We can’t leave them to return to the criminal behavior that got them into trouble in the first place.

Society has encouraged art since the beginning of time. It is a treasure that we inherit from the past, add to in the present, and then give to the future. But what exactly is art? Why is it so difficult to define? Art is something that appeals to our senses. No one can tell us what to like or dislike about a piece of art. Art is something different to each of us because we each bring our own backgrounds, experiences, beliefs, and expectations to art. We respond to a work of art emotionally, but we also respond intellectually; we each have our own standards of beauty and satisfaction.

The good news is that scientists have uncovered an animal group that should thrive as global temperatures rise. The bad news is that it is insects. According to a new research conducted by biologists at the University of Washington, insects that have adapted to warmer climates also show higher rates of population growth. As global temperatures increase, increases in insect populations could have profound effects on public health, agriculture and conservation, and could even alter entire ecosystems. “Enhanced population growth rates for butterflies might be a good thing, but enhanced growth rates for mosquito populations are much more dubious,” said Melanie Frazier, lead author of the new research.
